Yes. Since 2023, short-term crypto gains (assets held under 365 days) are generally taxed at a flat 28%, while gains on assets held longer are usually exempt for non-professional investors. Trading as a business, or receiving crypto as income, is taxed differently. The exact treatment depends on the facts, which is what a position report establishes.

IFICI is Portugal's tax incentive for scientific research and innovation, which replaced the NHR regime for new arrivals from 2024. It is aimed at people in qualifying R&D, higher-education, startup and certain high-value roles who become Portuguese tax resident and have not been resident in the previous five years.
